COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

Does Scoma's require proof of vaccination?

Yes. All guests over the age of 12 who wish to dine indoors in San Francisco must show proof of FULL VACCINATION. More details can be found on this page.

What do you mean by fully vaccinated?

Guests are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the second dose, or approved one dose vaccine.

Do I need to show proof of vaccination if I am dining outside or just pickup a to-go order?

Guests coming to dine outdoors or pick up food to go do not need to provide proof of vaccination.  However, if they enter the restaurant they must wear a mask.

What is Scoma's mask policy?

According to CDC guidelines, children under 2 years old are not required to wear face covering. Anyone 2 years old and up may dine indoor provided they wear a mask or face covering. Anyone entering the restaurant is also required to wear a mask or face covering.

Any parking near Scoma's Restaurant?

Of course! We offer complimentary valet parking right on our Pier. Drive down Al Scoma Way to Scoma’s parking lot, and a friendly valet will greet you in front of our restaurant. If our lot is full, we validate parking at the Triangle Parking Lot which is just one block away from Scoma’s.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations are not required but strongly recommended. For parties of 8 or less you can make a reservation online.  If you’re looking for a reservation of 9 or more, please give us a call at 415-771-4383 during restaurant operation hours.

What if I can't find the time I want on your reservation platform?

If you don’t see your desired date or time, the means we are at capacity and cannot accept any more online reservations.  We do accept walk in’s, and you are welcome to come in and put your name on the waiting list, or join our online “Waitlist”.

What is the online "Waitlist"?

You can get “in line” from anywhere via the Waitlist on our reservations platform, and our host will text you when your turn is up.

How come I don't see the "Waitlist"?

Please note our waitlist option is only accessible during operation hours on the day of, and shown in real time.  It will stop taking names one hour before restaurant closing time.

What is the best way to inquire about private dining or event booking?

Please submit your inquiry through our Event Booking Request portal. You can also email us at  events@scomas.com with general questions about private dining, or if you would like a reservation for 18 guests or more.

ABOUT OUR MENU

Where is your crab from?

As of 9.29.21 we’re receiving our crab freshly from Oregon. Our local Dungeness crab season is usually from November to April.

Do you serve lobster?

We no longer offer any lobster dishes as of 2015 because we want to source our fish from local fishermen and support our community.

What happened to brunch and happy hour?

We are currently not offering Brunch or Happy Hour due to limited staffing. If you know anyone who wants to work for us, please encourage them to “Join the Scoma’s Team “.
